Teil 2: UNLEASH THE ARCHERS in Bremen, mit Video-Backstage-Führung.

Bevor es mit Teil 2 losgeht, hier erstmal eine Video-Führung durch den Backstagebereich in Bremen.

So, und nun weiter im Text. Brittney hat das Wort.

„Die „Gunmen Tour“ ist jetzt in vollem Gange! Sechs Shows haben wir hinter uns, 23 noch vor uns! Die letzten sechs sind eigentlich nur UNLEASH THE ARCHERS Headliner-Shows in Großbritannien, aber die zählen trotzdem ;-). Wir sind zwischen Deutschland, Frankreich und den Niederlanden hin und her gehüpft. Heute Abend waren wir wieder in Deutschland, im Tivoli in Bremen. Morgen spielen wir unser einziges Konzert in Dänemark, im Beta in Kopenhagen, was komplett ausverkauft ist! Echt aufregend 😉

Am Ende des letzten Eintrags waren wir kurz davor, in Paris auf die Bühne zu gehen, und die Show war der Wahnsinn. Der Club war bei unserem Set wieder richtig voll, was mich nach wie vor in Erstaunen versetzt. Wir spielen so früh, und trotzdem machen sich alle die Mühe, pünktlich für uns vor Ort zu sein. Das bringt mein Herz vor Dankbarkeit zum Zerspringen! Dass dann auch noch so viele mitsingen, ist der Zuckerguss obendrauf. Das Boot hat auf jeden Fall gerockt! Ich denke, sollten UNLEASH THE ARCHERS nochmal im Le Petit Bain auftreten, spiele ich ein kleines Spiel und lasse alle hin und her laufen, um zu sehen, ob wir das Boot wirklich zum Schaukeln bringen können 😉 Mal ein paar Wellen schlagen (hahaha). Aber ich weiche ab… Nach jeder Show gehen wir gerne raus zum Publikum, um hallo zu sagen und Fotos mit den Fans zu machen. Es haut uns echt um, wie weit manche fahren, um uns zu sehen. Hunderte Kilometer, zwei, drei, manchmal vier Stunden. Es ist unglaublich und wir fühlen uns so geehrt, dass unsere Fans sich die Zeit nehmen. Also einen riesigen Dank an euch alle!

Den Abend darauf waren wir wieder in Deutschland, in der Neuen Stadthalle in Langen. Ein echt schöner Laden! Reichlich Platz auf der Bühne und allgemein, was wichtig ist, weil auf dieser Tour wahnsinnig viel Ausrüstung dabei ist 😉 Vorne an der Bühne hatten wir etwa einen Meter extra Platz, wovon wir auch Gebrauch gemacht haben. Wenn du UNLEASH THE ARCHERS Platz zum Bewegen gibst, werden wir das ausnutzen! Unser kleines Meet & Greet danach war ebenfalls fantastisch. Es war toll, mit so vielen von euch zu sprechen, neuen und alten Fans, und zu hören, welche Songs euch am besten gefallen, oder durch welches YouTube-Video ihr uns entdeckt habt. Bitte seid nicht schüchtern, wenn ihr uns im Publikum seht; wir sind da, um mit euch zu reden! Bitte kommt und sagt hallo, wir werden euch garantiert nicht wegschicken 🙂

Gestern Abend war unsere einzige Show in den Niederlanden, und der Club war wieder mal atemberaubend. Super organisiert, und die Crew vom Doornroosje in Nijmegen war so nett und alle haben echt geschuftet! Jedes Mal, wenn wir in den Niederlanden spielen, gefällt es uns ein bisschen besser 😉 Als wir auf die Bühne kamen, waren im Publikum eine Menge UNLEASH THE ARCHERS Shirts, was wir lieben! Wenn ihr mich schon beim Betreten der Bühne lächeln seht, heißt das, ich bin begeistert (hahaha). Wir sehen das Logo und grinsen los 😉 Also danke! Das letzte Mal, als wir in den Niederlanden waren, hatte glaube ich keiner die geringste Ahnung, wer wir waren. Dieses Mal war das komplett anders! Ich hoffe, wir können bald wiederkommen und noch mehr Freunde und Fans gewinnen 🙂

Wow, das wird gerade schmalzig. Vielleicht erzähle ich lieber was über die Aftershow-Parties, hm? Naja, als Sängerin muss ich gut auf meine Stimme aufpassen, also gehe ich jede Nacht recht früh ins Bett. Ich höre aber immer, wie die Jungs vor dem Bus am Lachen und Trinken sind, oder in der Sofaecke, wenn wir eine lange Fahrt vor uns haben und gleich los müssen. Folgt denen mal auf Instagram, die posten ständig bescheuerte Videos und Fotos und geben Behind-The-Scenes-Eindrücke von allem (@buchanzig, @granttruesdell, @andrewkingsley89, @nikkowbass). Ich selbst bin wirklich nicht so gut mit Social Media, ich bin mit meinen Gedanken zu sehr bei der Show. Ich muss vorher in den richtigen Gemütszustand kommen, und danach müssen wir einpacken und uns wieder herrichten, was die weit weniger glamouröse Seite des Ganzen ist 😉 Ich werde aber mein Bestes tun, Sachen zu posten, also könnt ihr auch mir folgen, wenn ihr wollt (@brittneyslayes). Ob die Party in der Nacht davor gut war, kann ich jedenfalls immer daran festmachen, wie viele von den Jungs morgens lange schlafen oder groggy und mit roten Augen zum Frühstück auftauchen (hahaha)!

Wir haben uns wirklich gefreut, heute in Bremen zu spielen. Letztes Jahr sollten wir eigentlich in diesem Club spielen, aber wegen irgendeines Dramas wurde die Show abgesagt. Naja, in einen anderen Club verlegt und dann komplett abgesagt. Heute stand uns nichts dabei im Wege, mit den Fans im Tivoli abzurocken, und das haben sie auch getan! Die Bühne war echt eng, aber wir haben unser Bestes getan, für eine gute Energie zu sorgen. Wir sind mehr als nur einmal zusammengerannt (hahaha)! Wir hatten trotzdem eine geile Zeit und können es kaum erwarten, künftig mal wieder nach Bremen zu kommen!
Jetzt muss ich euch aber verlassen, um schlafen zu gehen. Immer schön auf die Stimme aufpassen 😉 Morgen sehen wir uns im Beta in Kopenhagen! UNLEASH THE ARCHERS spielen wieder um 19:30, also kommt ja nicht zu spät! Bis bald :-)“

Und nun noch in Brittneys eigenen Worten:

The Gunmen Tour is now in full swing! Six shows down, twenty-three more to go! {The last six are actually just Unleash The Archers headlining through the UK but it still counts! 😉 } We have been hopping in and out of Germany, hitting France and the Netherlands along the way. Tonight we were once again in Germany at Tivoli in Bremen, and tomorrow we play our only date in Denmark at Beta in Copenhagen, which is sold out! So exciting 😉

Last I left you we were about to go on stage in Paris, and the show was amazing. The venue was once again packed for our set, which continues to amaze me. We are playing so early and yet everyone makes a concerted effort to be there in time for us, and it makes my heart explode with gratitude! To have so many singing along as well, that is just the icing on the cake. The boat sure was rocking! I think if Unleash The Archers play le Petit Bain again I will play a game, trying to get everyone to move from one side of the venue to the other, to see if we can REALLY rock the boat 😉 Make some waves as it were hahaha! But I digress… After each show we like to go out into the crowd to say hi and to take pictures with fans if they like. We are blown away at how far some travel to come see us; hundreds of kilometres, two, three, sometimes four hour drives. It is incredible and we are so honoured that our fans would dedicate the time for us, so thank you all so much!

The following night we were back in Germany at Neue Stadthalle in Langen… What a beautiful venue! Plenty of room on and off stage which is crucial because there is an insane amount of gear on this tour 😉 There was about a metre of free space at the front of the stage, which we very much enjoyed as often as we could. When you give Unleash The Archers room to move we use it! Our little meet and greet afterwards was fantastic as well, it was great to get the chance to talk to so many of you, new and old fans alike, and to hear which songs are your favourite or what video on YouTube was your road to discovering us. Please don’t be shy if you see us in the crowd, we are there to talk to you! Please come say hi, we will never turn you away 🙂

Last night was our only show in the Netherlands, and once again the venue was spectacular. So well organized, and the crew of Doornroosje in Nijmegen were so kind and hardworking! It seems every time we play in the Netherlands we like it more and more 😉 When we hit the stage there were a lot of Unleash The Archers’ shirts in the crowd, we love that! If you see me smiling the second I hit the stage you know I am impressed hahaha we can see that logo a mile away 😉 So thank you! The last time we were in the Netherlands I don’t think anyone knew who we were in the slightest, and this time, completely different story! I hope we will be able to come back soon and make more and more friends and fans 🙂

Wow this is getting corny; maybe I’ll talk a bit about the after parties, hm? Well being the vocalist I have to take great care of my voice, so I am in bed quite early every night, but I always leave the boys laughing and drinking outside the bus, or in the lounge if it is a long drive and we have to leave right away. If you follow them on instagram (@buchanzig, @granttruesdell, @andrewkingsley89, @nikkowbass) they are constantly posting silly videos and pictures on their stories, a bit more of a behind-the-scenes view of things. I personally am really not very good at social media, I have my mind on the show too much, I have to get into the right headspace before and then afterwards we have to pack the gear get all cleaned up and it is the much less glamourous side of things 😉 I will do my best to post though so if you like you can follow me as well, @brittneyslayes if you are interested! Anyways, I can always tell if it was a good night of partying by how many of the boys sleep-in the next morning, and how many show up red-eyed and groggy at breakfast hahaha!

We were excited to play Bremen tonight. Last year we were supposed to play at this venue but due to some, drama, the show was cancelled. Well, moved to another venue, and then cancelled altogether. Tonight there was nothing to stand in our way of rocking out with fans at Tivoli, and rock they did! The stage was really tight but we did our best to keep the energy high. Ran into each other more than once hahaha! Regardless we had a killer time, and we can’t wait to return to Bremen sometime in the future!

Alas now I must leave you to go to sleep, need to take care of the voice at all times 😉 Tomorrow, we will see you in Copenhagen at Beta! Unleash The Archers is on at 19:30 once again, so don’t be late! See you soon 🙂
