holen sich Rob Trujillo mit ins Boot

APOCALYPTICA setzen fort, was sie mit ihrem Debütwerk begonnen haben: Am 7. Juni  2024 veröffentlicht die finnische Cello-Metal-Band das Album“Apocalyptica Plays Metallica Vol. 2″. Prominente Unterstützung bekommen die Finnen dabei mit METALLICA-Bassist Rob Trujillo, der sich ihnen für die Aufnahmen der Album-Leadsingle „The Four Horsemen“ anschloss.

“It’s the coolest thing. We didn’t push – it was offered. We played the first album live and it was so much more fun and exciting than we expected, so we got the idea to do something like the first album, but we couldn’t do it in exactly the same way – we needed to challenge ourselves and bring a totally new perspective to the original energy and emotion of Metallica.”

„Apocalyptica Plays Metallica Vol. 2“ wird APOCALYPTICAs letztes Album mit ihrem langjährigen Drummer Mikko Sirén sein, der sich nach Abschluss der Aufnahmen im Guten von der Band verabschiedete. „Apocalyptica Plays Metallica Vol. 2“ wurde produziert von Joe Barresi (Queens Of The Stone Age, Soundgarden, Nine Inch Nails, Tool).
