MASTODON werden ihre erste DVD samt einer Kollektion ihrer allerersten Aufnahmen am 28. Februar 2006 über Relapse Records raushauen.
Die DVD wird auf den Namen „The Workhorse Chronicles“ hören und über drei Stunden exklusives Footage enthalten wie Interviews, delikate Backstageszenen, Material aus den Privatarchiven der Musiker und diverse Liveperformances aus der gesamten Karriere.
Bassist Troy Sanders gibt zu Protokoll: „We had been wanting to do a DVD for awhile, and figured that with all that has happened now would be the right time to document our early years. Consider it [the DVD] an invitation to walk the paths we’ve traveled and see what lies ahead“.
Des Weiteren bringen MASTODON noch „Call of the Mastodon“ heraus, eine remixte und remasteret Sammlung ihrer allerersten Aufnahmesession, die Sanders so beschreibt: „The first real monster we ever created. It’s the original beast laid to tape complete with the dirt and drive“. In Europa erscheint das teil am 30. Januar.
