Konzert vom 2010-02-09 | C-Club (Columbia Club), Berlin

MASTODON nutzen die Gelegenheit, um erst mal “Crack The Skye“ komplett aufzuführen – also weniger Hardcore, mehr Hardrock im weiteren Sinne, luftiger, passend zum Konzept, mit teils ausufernden, psychedelisch und progressiv geprägten Songs, viel klarem Gesang (jeder Musiker bekommt mal seinen Einsatz). Sanftes Schweben, Wirbelwinde, Orkan-Böen… Dazu Lyrics von Astralreisen über Ikarus bis Rasputin. Die große Achterbahn-Show. Vor der Bühne gehen Arme in die Luft, Haare werden geschüttelt, man schubst sich ekstatisch hin und her. Das bei einer Band, die nicht unbedingt ungestüme Jugendliche anspricht.
