Über Nuclear Blast haben die Metal Größen von MACHINE HEAD heute ihre neue Single „My Hands are Empty“ veröffentlicht.
Obendrein gibt es ein ein passendes Musikvideo welches sich ein Zeiten von COVID-19 als wahre Herausforderung herausstellte die Gesundheitsämter Nordkaliforniens die Dreharbeiten 24 Stunden zuvor untersagten und daher ordentlich Improvisations Geschick bewiesen werden musste. Die Single stellt die erste Zusammenarbeit zwischen Robb Flynn und Gitarrist Logan Mader (Burn my Eyes) seit 24 Jahren dar. Der Song handelt von Depressionen und Drogenabhängigkeit und entspringt eigenen Erfahrungen die Robb Flynns und seinem näheren Umfeld.
“I have some family members who have beaten their opioid addiction, and have some still in the throes of addiction. It is painful to watch, and I deal with it with great difficulty. It is a song of sadness, but there is hope as well. I have beaten my own drug addictions and we can fight through this, together, and share our pain with the world.”
