Kerry King äußert sich!

SLAYER haben zusammen mit Produzent Josh Abraham (VELVET REVOLVER, STAIND) und Produktionsleiter Rick Rubin (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, SYSTEM OF A DOWN) mit den Aufnahmen zum Nachfolger von „God Hates Us All“ (2001) begonnen. Das noch namenslose Album, wird elf Songs umfassen und eventuell Mitte 2006 erscheinen. Mit dabei ist der frühere Schöagzeuger Dave Lombardo, der vor 15 Jahren nach „Seasons In The Abyss“ die Band verlassen hat.

Kerry King selbst äußerte sich zu dem neuen Output wie folgt:

„There are definitely things you can’t write about in SLAYER, and there are definitely things people expect you to write about. Everybody expects war, Satanism or anti-religious stuff – and this record’s chock-full of that. It’s definitely going to be a riff-fest. There’s riffs all over the place. I think anybody who likes SLAYER, musically, is going to love it.“
