Die schwedische Melodic Death-Instutition DARK TRANQUILLITY sind aktuell mit den Aufnahmen für ihr bereits elftes Album beschäftigt. Die Platte, die am 04. November 2016 über Century Media Records veröffentlicht werden soll, hört auf den Namen „Atoma.

Die Band äußert sich wie folgt: “That’s right! We’re more than halfway done with the recording of the upcoming album, and it’s shaping up to be a diverse and challenging affair that will feature a lot of different aspects of the D.T. sound. It’s hard to be more specific while still immersed in the creative process, but we’re incredibly excited about the material and can’t wait to share the results with all of you soon.”

Aufgenommen wird die Platte im Rogue Music Studio in Göteborg, welches DARK TRANQUILLITY-Keyboarder Martin Brändström gehört. Gemixt wird „Atoma“ von David Castillo, der bereits mit Bands wie KATATONIA, OPETH und CANDLEMASS zusammengearbeitet hat. Für das Cover-Artwork war einmal mehr DARK TRANQUILLITY-Gitarrist Niklas Sundin verantwortlich.

Erste Videosequenzen aus dem Studio könne hier betrachtet werden. Für Anfang 2017 ist eine Europatournee geplant.
